These experiences also give them a chance to practice the skills they learned in therapy in real-life settings, and they can then refine these skills during treatment. The flexibility of this format lets many people continue to go to work, volunteer, and stay active in their communities. A lower level of care than our day treatment program, our IOP offers therapy for fewer hours a day while still providing a structured schedule. Our intensive outpatient program (IOP) is available to adults who have a mental health concern or an addiction. Most people participate in this program for about two weeks, though each person’s actual length of stay in our program is based on their individual progress. We may also recommend individual, family, and experiential therapies depending on a person’s specific situation. Dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) forms the foundation of our group therapy sessions, but we also use cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), the 12 Steps of recovery, and the Gorski model of relapse prevention.
